Mangalore 13th January 2009:Samanvaya Mangalore and Ursuline Franciscan Educational Society, Derlakatte jointly organized a two-day residential workshop on Virtues at Shanthi Dham, Provincial House Conference Hall Derlakatte on January 10-11, 2009.

The Ursuline Franciscan provincial Superior of Mangalore Province Sr. Susheela Sequeira lighted the lamp and inaugurated the workshop. In her inaugural address, she said that values can be acquired with efforts and Virtues to be polished regularly. Before preaching, teaching about values, let all of us practice them and polish the virtues found in us.



Dr.Padmini Pai Indian national in Australia was the resource person. She guided the workshop activities through creative thinking, group discussions, songs etc.

36 participants from the states of Karnataka and Kerala received certificates from Sr. Susheela Sequeira at the end of the workshop. Sr. Lilly Fernandes, secretary of Ursuline Franciscan Educational Society, who took initiative and responsibility to organize this workshop, welcomed the participants in the beginning. Asst. Secretary Sr. Linet was present on the dais. The director of Samanvaya Rev. Dr.Ronald Cutinha conducted the evaluation of the workshop.
