Mulki: A five day residential retreat in Kannada concluded at Divine Call Centre Mulki on 20th February 2010. This retreat was specially organised in preparation for Lent as an opportunity to renew people’s life in the Lord. The first two days retreat was conducted by Divine Call Centre Retreat team. The Potta team carried on for the next three days. The centre and the people were specially blessed by the presence of   Rt. Rev. Dr. Aloysius Paul D’Souza, Bishop of Mangalore, who celebrated the Holy Eucharist on Thursday 18th February.

The Potta team led by Rev Fr. Anto Kannampuzah conducted the Healing Service on the final day of the retreat on Saturday. More than Nine hundred faithful participated on the final day of this special retreat, as it was open to those who wanted to make one day retreat.

The thirst for the Word of God and a desire to lead a ‘spirit filled’ life was quite evident among the participants. The participants were full of praise to God and thanked him for the miracles He worked in them. Many gave testimony in the presence of the people gathered to the favours they received during these five days which included physical healings, mental peace, and relief from various kinds of bondages, gift of forgiveness and the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

On this special occasion, Divine Call Centre - Mulki, ventured into yet another innovative way to reach out to the faithful in spreading the Good news by providing Bible Quotes through SMS on their cell phones DAILY. This was launched at Divine Call Centre, Mulki after the Holy Eucharistic Celebration by Rev. Fr. Anto Kannampuzha of Potta Team. He inaugurated the “DIVINE SMS” project by sending the first SMS to His Grace Arch Bishop Leo Cornelio SVD, the Chairman, Catholic Bishops’ Conference of India (CBCI) - Commission for Youth who is also the Co-Chairman of CBCI Commission for Social Communications. The first sms contained the following Text  “SEEK FIRST HIS KINGDOM AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS, AND ALL THESE THINGS SHALL BE YOURS. (Matthew 6:33)
