Mangalore: The Mangalore Central Council of St. Vincent De Paul Society (SSVP) in collaborations with Samanvaya NGO organized a seminar to its women members on May 9, 2010 at Samanvaya Conference Hall, Urwastores.













The stage function was presided over by the President of Central Council of SSVP Bro. Albert Sequeira who advised the members to extend their generous hand to the needy and downtrodden. The Vice president Bro. Gilbert Pinto appealed the members to be active and be filled with spirit of sacrifice.


Rev.Dr.Ronald Cutinha director of SSVP and Samanvaya was the resource guide of the seminar.  The history of foundation of SSVP, lives of patron St. Vincent De Paul and founder Blessed Fredrick Ozanam, entry of the SSVP into Mangalore diocese, rules, regulations and characteristic features of the organization, visits to the foster families etc. were explained through LCD presentation. Group discussion and sharing of the finding out of the groups enabled the members to know the present situation of functioning of SSVP in the diocese of Mangalore.

The lady representative of Central Committee of SSVP Sr. Jessy D’Souza welcomed and explained the objectives of the seminar. Secretary Bro. Rudolf Tauro proposed Vote of thanks and Sr. Linet D’Souza Suratkal compered. The programme ended at 1.30 p.m with lunch.66 women participants from 28 parishes of Mangalore diocese benefited from this seminar.
