Book your Taxi Now – How to book It?

Booking a taxi in Carlisle over the phone is the most common way. Sometimes, people use other means to book the taxi. They are by email or using a taxi booking app.

First, you need to identify a taxi company for your travel. Then find out the taxi company phone number. You can use Google search to get this information. Once you have these information to hand, then call the taxi company.

When you call the taxi company, the operator answers the call. Be clear and specific. Sometimes, people have different accents. It becomes difficult for the operator to understand what you are trying to say if you are not clear. So communication plays a vital role here.

When the operators lifts the call, please say the name of the place or street where you wish to picked up from. Then say where are you going to? The operator won’t ask you for your phone number. This is because of the advanced technology which taxi companies have these days. Your caller ID would have shown on operators taxi booking system.

If you’re in a group of more than four, it’s best to ask the operator if they have a six or seven-seater taxi. If the answer is yes, then you can book a taxi giving him the details. The following are a few examples which could be of help to you.

Example 1 [O: Operator , Y : You]
When you are alone or less than 4 people without any baggage.
O – Taxis
Y – Hiya, can I book a taxi please.
O -Where from?
Y – From the train station
O -Where are you going to?
Y – Pennine way?
O – How many people?
Y – One
O – Ok, It’s on the way for you. Shouldn’t be long.
Y – Thank you and disconnect the phone.
